Nusa Penida Blue Paradise Island
A Visit to Nusa Penida "Blue Paradise Island" What do you imagine when you hear the word "Bali"? beaches, Kuta, Sanur, Pura, Ayam Betutu, Sambal Matah and many more that might be called to describe this Island of the Gods.
But have you ever heard of Nusa Penida? Yup, Nusa Penida is one of the islands in the southeast of Bali. Bali and Nusa Penida are inspected by the Badung Strait. Recently, this island is very popular because of its natural panorama. There are lots of cool beaches that must be visited, either solo trip or together with friends / partners. Don't worry, many tours have started offering travel packages to Nusa Penida. You just have to adjust it with the travel budget that will be issued. Because everyone's tastes and traveling models are not the same, so the choice is up to each person.

If you only have limited time and don't want the costs to swell, it's better to use a tour service. But, if you want to explore and enjoy the beauty of Nusa Penida for a longer time, you shouldn't use a tour. Well, maybe someone wants to have a vacation to Nusa Penida, I want to share a story about a backpacking vacation to Nusa Penida without a travel tour, here! Who knows, it can be a reference material for you, heheTraveling to Bali There are many choices of transportation modes to choose from if you want to go to Bali. Apart from planes, you can take advantage of buses. The cost is much cheaper, you can go up at the Bungurasih terminal, Surabaya and get off at the Mengwi terminal, Badung. However, it will take longer if traveling overland by bus
So, because of the limited vacation time, I decided to take a plane. I departed from Juanda Airport, Surabaya (SUB) for the purpose of Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar (DPS), incidentally, airplane tickets in the new normal period have lots of promos. I chose Air Asia, which cost me less than 500 thousand rupiah ($ 35). If from Jakarta the costs are not much different. At 11.50 WIB the plane took off and an hour later arrived in Bali.
I swear the vacation atmosphere and the smell of the beach already smell, hehe. Arriving at the airport, I decided to take a grab to the port in the Sanur area. Currently, the airport has provided a Grab Lounge, making it easier for me to book a Grabcar Airport. Take a fast boat from Sanur If you want to go to Nusa Penida or other islands such as Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, you have to take a fast boat from Sanur Beach. There are many choices of fast boat agents, starting from Maruti Express, Mola Mola Express and others.

The average cost offered is around 75 - 100 thousand (5 - $ 7) for one trip. Just a suggestion, because Nusa Penida has become a "MUST" visit, so the visitors are relatively busy. So in anticipation of the drama running out of tickets, you can reserve tickets 1 or 2 days before the trip. For fast boat departure times, each agent has a different choice of time. However, the average fast boat departure time from Sanur is 08.15, 10.45 and 15.00 WITA. The trip from Sanur Harbor to Banjar Nyuh Port, Nusa Penida is approximately 30-40 minutes. Remember, fast boat departures are always on time, so make sure you don't be late because you might be left behind.
For those of you who are easily drunk by the sea, you should choose a morning departure time because the waves are not too big yet. Rental Vehicles in Nusa Penida Arriving at Banjar Nyuh Harbor, you can rent a vehicle to get around Nusa Penida. For the motorbike rental fee of Rp. 75K / day ($ 5 / day). Meanwhile, if you want to rent a car around Rp. 500K / day ($ 28 / day). This fee includes the cost of gasoline, you know. Don't worry, people won't lose their motorbike / rental car because it is safe in Nusa Penida. Even if you want to return the vehicle, just call the owner and put it anywhere, because they will take it to the location themselves. Can you imagine? Yes, it's that safe. Going around Nusa Penida
Before traveling around Nusa Penida, it's a good idea to look for lodging first to just lay down for a while and put things away. The cost of staying per night ranges from 90 thousand - 300 thousand ($ 8 - $ 20 / night), please adjust to the budget, yes! Seriously, going to Nusa Penida you won't be satisfied with just 1 day of travel, you have to spend at least 2 or 3 days there. So, here are some cool spots that must be explored while in Nusa Penida. Klingking Beach / Karang Dewa Kelingking Beach is an icon of Nusa Penida, famous for its cliff shape that resembles the head of a tyranosaurus / T-rex. The view from the top of the hill is really beautiful, especially at sunset. Although the road to get here is quite steep and dangerous, it will pay off with its panoramic beauty.
Make sure, your body is in a fit condition before going to this location, OK! Moreover, to get to the bottom it takes approximately 3 hours PP. Under the hill lies a white sandy beach that is no less amazing. A little note for those of you who want to play on the beach, don't come too late and make sure to wear shoes. Broken Beach / Pasih Uwug This beach is located not far from Klingking beach with easier access because there are road signs at every turn. Arriving at Broken Beach, I had trouble choosing the right words to describe its beauty. The view of the hill with the hole in the middle is very special. The atmosphere that is served by this beach is so charming and extraordinary. Unfortunately, it is not recommended to swim at this beach, because the sea waves are quite large and dangerous. In addition, there are many sharp rocks. Angel's Billabong10 minutes from Broken Beach, there is one more treat that is no less special, namely Angel's Billabong.

This place is famous for its water clarity so that the reefs are clearly visible. So, if you come here, don't be late, because you can swim in the clear water between the rocks. Great, isn't it? Crystal Bay Well, my next trip to Crystal Bay. The place is beautiful and suitable for spending time while enjoying the sunset. For those of you who like diving or snorkeling, you can do it here. Especially if you visit Nusa Penida in the months from July to September, chances are you will meet giant sunfish swimming to the shore. The cost of snorkeling in Nusa Penida for domestic tourists like me is only 200 - 300 thousand ($ 13 - $ 20), including mask, snorkel and fins.
Usually the snorkeling package includes a shuttle fee from the hotel to 4 locations, namely Gamat Bay, Manta Bay, Crystal Bay, and Mangrove. Giri Putri Cave Temple The second day in Nusa Penida, then I headed for the eastern part of Nusa Penida which was no less beautiful. There is Pura Goa Giri Putri, although if you want to enter this cave it requires effort. Just imagine, the entrance is small, so you have to duck, shrink your stomach and even hold your breath. But, don't be surprised when you reach Goa. You will find a very large prayer room area, it can even accommodate up to 5000 people. Like any place of worship, you have to be polite when you are here.
And for women who are menstruating, it is forbidden to enter, yes! Raja Lima Raja Lima is the Raja Ampat of Bali. Because the natural scenery is similar to that in Raja Ampat. The first time I arrived here, I was greeted with a stretch of blue sea with views of several islands. To get to the top of the island, you have to be trekking and have to be super careful. The reason is that the steps are made of natural stones and are fenced by twigs that are only tied with ropes as a handrail. For those who want to take pictures, they have to queue because the spot area is limited. Atuh Beach After taking a short break at Raja Lima, I continued my trip to Atuh Beach because of its adjacent location. Approximately 15 minutes from Raja Lima and arrived at Atuh Beach.

Those of you who bring a motorbike are more fortunate than those who bring a car. The reason is, the road to Atuh Beach can only be passed by motorbikes. And, again you have to be super careful, because to reach the spot you have to pass a series of steep and narrow steps. But the beauty of white sand and extraordinary views makes you won't regret the difficulty of the trip. Well, 5 minutes on foot, you will meet Berlian Beach which is also amazingly good. On this beach, you can enjoy the swing associated with two giant coconut trees. There are still other tourist destinations worth visiting in Nusa Penida, such as Teletubbies Hill, Suwehan Beach and other areas in southern Nusa Penida.

Unfortunately, the vacation time is over, if there is another chance to take time off together, you have to enter the list for Nusa Penida, here! Food If you want to easily find food in Nusa Penida, you should stay at La Roja Bungalow. Because, the location is not far from The Chill Penida, one of the cafes here. You can enjoy dinner while listening to music. I can unwind while filling my stomach here. The food menu offered is varied, including grilled fish and other Nusa Penida specialties. So, how is it? Are you ready to have a vacation in Nusa Penida, this incomparably beautiful island? Remember, keep clean and don't damage the existing nature, huh! Returning home with a satisfied heart, fresh mind and ready to face tomorrow happily. Happy Traveling 😊
